This Privacy Policy explains how CleanerMaster – Storage Clean ("we," "us") collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with the CleanerMaster – Storage Clean app (“the App”). The App has no login system and no cloud storage — all scanning and cleaning happens locally on your device. We do not upload the contents of your files, photos, or videos to any server.
01Information We Collect
Analytics and crash data. We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand feature usage (e.g., screens viewed, buttons tapped, scan/clean results as byte and file counts) and to diagnose crashes (device model, OS version, stack traces, and recent in-app event names). A built-in filter automatically blocks file names, file paths, image/video URIs, phone numbers, contact names, message content, email addresses, IMEI, MAC address, and raw Android ID from ever being sent as analytics parameters.
Advertising data. We use Google AdMob to show ads (app open, interstitial, rewarded video, native, and banner). AdMob may collect device/advertising identifiers, IP address, and general device information to serve and measure ads, per Google's own privacy practices.
Permissions. We request: (1) media permissions (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES/VIDEO/AUDIO or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) to let you view and select photos/videos/audio for cleaning; (2) “All Files Access” (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE), optional, to find Downloads, APK, and non-media large files not visible to the media permissions above — the App still works without it, with reduced visibility into those file types; (3) notification permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS), requested but not currently used to send notifications; (4) internet/network-state permissions, required to reach Firebase and AdMob. We do not request contacts, location, camera, microphone, or SMS permissions.
What we do not collect. File names, file paths, or file/photo/video content sent off-device; contacts; SMS; precise or approximate location; phone number; account credentials (no account system exists); IMEI/MAC/raw Android ID; or any persistent cross-install anonymous user ID (we do not generate one).
02How We Use Information
To operate the App's core cleaning features, understand and improve usage, diagnose crashes, and display/measure advertising that funds the App's free availability. We do not sell your personal information.
03Third-Party Services
Google Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config, Google AdMob, and Google Play Services (see each provider's privacy policy at firebase.google.com/support/privacy and policies.google.com/privacy). We do not currently integrate Adjust, Meta, or TikTok attribution SDKs; this policy will be updated if that changes.
04Data Retention
Local preferences (selected language, onboarding status, permission-guide status, last low-storage-warning timestamp) stay on your device until you clear App data or uninstall. Analytics/crash/ad data is retained by Google per its own retention policies; we operate no backend server of our own.
05Your Rights and Choices
You may opt out of ad personalization via your device's Android settings (Settings > Google > Ads), or via Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tools. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. If you are in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, you have GDPR/UK GDPR rights (access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection); if you are a California resident, you have CCPA/CPRA rights (know, delete, opt out of sale/sharing). Since we maintain no accounts, most rights can be exercised via device settings; for other requests, contact [email protected].
06Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
07Data Security
We rely on Android's app sandboxing and permission model, plus our providers' security practices. All network traffic to our providers uses HTTPS/TLS. We do not operate a server that stores your file contents.
08International Data Transfers
Our providers (Google Firebase, Google AdMob) may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate, under their own applicable safeguards.
09Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the App, our service providers, or applicable law. The “Last Updated” date above will change accordingly.
